Motorola Moto G7 Plus debuts in China packing 4GB/6GB RAM and 128GB storage option only

Almost two months after the Moto G7 Plus made its grand entry in Brazil alongside the Moto G7, G7 Power and G7 Play, the model has now been launched in Lenovo’s home country, China. Recall the Motorola brand is now owned by Lenovo and the tech giant is going a good job trying to revive the Moto brand. The Moto G7 Plus will be the only Moto brand that would be launched in China this year apparently to test the waters and what fitting way to do that than make the model available in a generous 128GB storage option only.

The Moto G7 Plus adopts a frontal design that is different from the traditional Motorola G series design. It features a water drop notch on top of the display which houses the selfie camera. At the upper edge of the screen is an opening for the earpiece. The screen is covered by a Corning Gorilla Glass protection which the screen uses a 3D curve design with well-chamfered edges.

The Moto G7 Plus sports a 6.24-inch display having a resolution of 1080 x 2270 pixels. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor which is the same chipset on the Nokia X6, Redmi Note 6 Pro and a couple of other mid-range phones. The chipset will ensure the phone run smoothly without any lag. The processor is paired with 4GB of RAM and 6GB of RAM on some models.

For photography, the Motorola Moto G7 Plus adopts a dual camera setup at the rear. The camera design is similar to several other Moto models we have seen in the past. The dual cameras and LED flash are housed in a ring-shaped housing with the sensors arranged horizontally. The device also has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor just under the camera. The fingerprint sensor also doubles as the Motorola logo. The configuration of the rear camera is a 16MP main sensor and a 5MP depth of field sensor. The selfie camera is a 12MP sensor. Keeping the lights on is a 3000mAh battery but the phone features a 27-watt fast charging that delivers 12 hours of battery power with just 15 minutes of charge. The G7 Plus also comes with dual-band VoLTE, dual SIM slots and NFC.
