Released in 2000, the Nokia 3310 is one of the most iconic mobile phones in the mobile phone market. The gadget sold more than 126 million units around the world and even entered popular culture with its fame of “indestructible” device. People love this gadget so much that in September of this year HMD Global decided to launch a new version of the model, with lightly repaginated visuals, updated hardware that matches the other feature phones in the current market with 3G connectivity.
Even so, everything indicates that the Finnish brand is not satisfied. As perceived by PhoneArena, the company has just certified another edition of the 3310 in TEENA, and this time, the gadget will be able to work with 4G (LTE) networks. In addition, the new phone will be equipped with YunOS, a Chinese operating system based on Android and that supports several cool applications. That is, in theory, the next Nokia 3310 will be a smartphone, not a feature phone.
We still do not know when the model will be presented, but HMD is likely to reveal some information in January or February during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and the Mobile World Congress (MWC), respectively. It is worth remembering that this year’s 3310 was launched for 69 euros, which is equivalent to approximately R $ 258. Would you dare not invest in such a device?
