Oppo F9 is official – MediaTek Helio P60 processor and V-shaped “notch”

Oppo F9 has finally been formalized. The new device of the Chinese company had been affected by numerous “leaks” in recent weeks, which had made us imagine a very imminent launch.

The new smartphone is the first Oppo device that features a V-shaped drop notch, unlike the traditional rectangular notch. The Oppo F9 also stands out for a MediaTek Helio P60 processor, combined with two different RAM options. Now we expect nothing more than an announcement on the other device of the brand Oppo, or the F9 Pro – the latest rumors say that even for this product the launch should take place very shortly.

At the moment, Oppo F9 has been launched in the Vietnamese market at a price that is around 290 euros for the 4 GB RAM variant, while the price for the 6 GB RAM variant has not yet been revealed. The 4 GB RAM variant is already available for pre-orders, although shipments will start from August 24th.

Oppo F9 has as its operating system Android 8.1 Oreo. The phone is equipped with a 6.3-inch LTPS full HD TFT display (1080 × 2340 pixels) with a 19.5 – 9 aspect ratio. As for the optical compartment, the smartphone has a dual camera on the back, which includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor with an f / 1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor paired with an f / 2.4 aperture, next to an LED flash. On the front, we find instead an impressive 25 MP camera.

The specifications of the Oppo F9 are quite similar to those of the Oppo F9 Pro, leaked online recently. The Pro version seems characterized by a 6.3-inch full-HD display with a lot of “notch,” a MediaTek Helio P60 processor and a 3,500 mAh battery with support for VOOC quick charge. However, unlike the Oppo F9 available in 4 GB and 6 GB RAM options, it is likely that the F9 Pro will come out with a single 6 GB RAM option. The internal memory is identical to F9, or 64 GB.
