Design
The R15 sports a metal body that glows in the presence of light, reflecting light in the most subtle way. There’s no over the top dramatic feature at the rear, just the dual horizontal camera at the top left corner with its dual-tone dual-LED flash.
The fingerprint scanner reigns at the middle as usual, just above the Oppo logo. A very slim device it is, measuring just 7.4 mm in thickness. To be honest, the body didn’t live up to the hype on this device. But nonetheless, it weighs 175g and available in White, Red and Purple colors only.
Display
It ships with the trending top-notch bezel-less display that flooded the 2018 Mobile World Congress. The company didn’t want to be left behind with the current trend as they went on to create this beauty. The top-notch on the Oppo R15 is very minimal compared to what we first saw on the iPhone X.
Very minimal and houses just the selfie camera, ambient light sensor and speaker grille. The bottom bezel also came out to play a little bit as they couldn’t let go of it completely. The 6.28-inch bezel-less AMOLED capacitive touchscreen on the R15 is simply breathtaking. Boasting of 2280 x 1080 pixels in resolution and 402 pixel per inch density. The frameless screen stretches up to an astonishing 84% screen to body ratio.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood is the powerful MediaTek Helio P60 MT6771 chip with Octa-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 8-cores of processor clocks at 2.0GHz and has a 16nm process technology for fast and smart performance. In the graphics department, the ARM Mali G72 MP3 is in control and clocks at 800MHz.
Packing an impressive 6GB of RAM space for fast multitasking of heavy apps, with a memory speed of 1.866GHz. For storing files, 128GB storage is available and upgradeable up to 256GB using a memory card. The R15 comes running on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with ColorOS 5.0 skin.
Camera
The bezel-less beauty houses dual 16MP + 5MP cameras at the rear with f/1.7 and f/2.0 aperture respectively. No doubt the Oppo R15 could easily compete with the best smartphone cameras in the world. The dual Sony shooters captures 4K resolution images and 4K videos as well. With the Oppo R15 you can capture photographs with 4608 x 3456 pixels in dimension. Sitting pretty at the top-notch is the 20MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture as well.
Battery
Powering the Oppo R15 is a 3450mAh Non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take more than 1.4 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.

Well, is like all this Android OEM did not know why Apple are making the notch on their phone.
Nice one but the smartphone is quite too expensive though the phone is packed with excellent features and the 64GB storage and 6GB Ram is just so excellent especially for gamers but notwithstanding the phone price tag is costly! Nice review from techvaz team!
I hope Samsung would not start to do notch things too,
Android OEM copy IPHONE design. only samsung dnt copy other phone.
For Face ID: The notch is to place the 3D sensor and dot projector. But these Android OEM, they just do it because Apple do it, no 3D sensor.
