A new mysterious phone is coming soon from Redmi and it will be powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset. Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing shared a post in Weibo where he revealed some additional features of the mysterious device. According to him, the phone which will be powered by a Snapdragon 855 chipset will also support NFC and wireless charging. He also confirmed the phone will feature very thin bezels.
A few weeks ago, CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun was seen with the alleged Redmi Snapdragon 855 smartphone. However, at that time the design was not very clear. However, thanks to confirmations which came later, the existence of the phone has been verified. Lu Weibing also confirmed a few features of the phone like it features a 3.5 mm audio jack, triple camera module among others.
A leaked video which surfaced recently shows the triple camera setup which the phone features on its rear along with a fingerprint sensor. While we expect the front side of the phone to feature a full view display with thin bezels, impressive screen-to-body ratio, and a punch hole camera. Unlike the Galaxy S10 series, the punch hole camera is positioned on the top-center of the screen.
Redmi continues to tease the Redmi Snapdragon 855 but has failed to reveal the identity and main specifications of the phone. There are some rumors that Redmi will officially announce the phone by the end of the month.
We expect some more details to surface from Xiaomi side before it is launched later next month.
Also, Redmi will unveil Redmi Y3 on April 24th and it will feature a 21 MP selfie camera, waterdrop notch and a bigger battery.
