Redmi to launch the Redmi K30i 5G’s new 8GB RAM variant on July 1

Last month, the Redmi K30i 5G phone was launched. Redmi launched the phone as a lower version of the Redmi K30 5G which was released in December 2020. Earlier today, the brand confirmed that the 8 GB RAM variant of the phone will be made available for purchase tomorrow.

The variant of the phone which will go on purchase tomorrow comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage space. It will come with a price tag of 1,999 Yuan (~$283). The other variant which is already available comes with a price tag of 1,799 Yuan (~$254). It features 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage space.

Both variants of the Redmi K30i come with a 6.67-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display which features a dual punch-hole design. Other features of the display include Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and many more. It is powered by a Snapdragon 765G chipset with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. The phone doesn’t have a microSD card slot, however.

The rear of the phone features a quad camera setup which includes a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP 120-degree ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the phone sports a dual selfie camera setup. It includes a 20MP primary shooter and a 2MP lens. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor on the side.

The Redmi K20i 5G also comes with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging and the MIUI 11 based Android 10 OS out of the box.
