Design
Still sports the same Plastic body on the J4, but at least there’s a fingerprint scanner now to unlock the device even faster. On top of the fingerprint scanner is the rear camera, while sitting beside the camera is the LED flash.
It’s also little too bulky than the J4, measuring 8.2mm in thickness and weighing just 154g overall. The fact that it weighs less than the J4 is also an advantage to this stunning beauty. You can get it in Black, Gold and Blue colors.
Display
To the highlight of the device, the Infinity display is here to stay on the J series. The J6 is the first to sport the trending bezel-less screen. The bottom bezel has no navigation buttons this time around and it’s quite minimal. While the top bezel houses the usual features.
The 5.6-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen will give you the full view experience. It dishes out an 18.5:9 aspect ratio and boasts of 720 x 1480 pixels in resolution. The screen has a pixel per inch density of 294, while stretching up to 75.9% screen-to-body ratio.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood, the Exynos 7870 chip takes charge with an Octa-Core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 8-Cores of processor here runs at a fast pace of 1.6GHz with 14nm FinFET process technology. In the graphics department, the Mali-T830 MP1 is in total control.
There are two versions in terms of RAM and storage space, there’s a standard version with 64GB storage and 4GB RAM. While the cheaper variant packs 32GB storage and 3GB of RAM, you can upgrade both storage up to 256GB. The Samsung Galaxy J6 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.
Camera
The same 13MP rear camera on the J4 here with f/1.9 aperture lens. There’s OIS, autofocus, LED flash, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR and other quality features. The much clearer 8MP selfie camera takes care of selfies with f/1.9 aperture and a dedicated LED flash as well. The front LED flash can be adjusted depending on the time of the day, for clearer selfies.
Battery
Powering the Samsung Galaxy J6 is a 3000mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2.3 hours.
