WhatsApp- you can now send and receive money without fees!

In fact, the possibility of sending money to loved ones and people with commercial WhatsApp accounts will be very handy. In addition, this feature should help small businesses receive payments.

WhatsApp says payments are secure and a six-digit PIN or fingerprint will be required before transactions are completed.

At this time, payment via WhatsApp is supported by Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards from Banco de Brasil, Nubank, and Sicredi. WhatsApp also stated that it is working with Cielo, the main payment operator in Brazil, and created an open model to facilitate the adhesion of more partners in the future.

Another positive aspect is that private users are not charged any fees for sending or receiving money. In the case of companies, the situation is somewhat different as they will have to pay a processing fee to receive payments from their customers.

The service is already being implemented for all users. If you haven’t received it yet, it should arrive in the next few weeks. They are usually phased.

WhatsApp started receiving payments in India in 2024, but it was just a test. In the meantime, it will reach more countries. It is not just yet that this company is still facing some challenges in terms of approvals. WhatsApp has not yet announced the next countries to receive this news.
