Wiko View Go – Affordable Bezel-less Smartphone – Review, Specs and Price

The Wiko View Go is a budget smartphone launched by Wiko at the 2018 Mobile World Congress. The device is the downgraded version of the Wiko View Max, and created for those on a tight budget.

A very affordable device it is, the Max Go retails for a giveaway price and packs 2GB RAM, 16GB storage among other quality features. Without further ado, lets see what the Wiko View Go has in store for us today.

Design

Wiko View Go

Sports a plastic back just like most budget smartphones, with a rear loudspeaker at the bottom corner for loud music. There’s no rear fingerprint scanner at the back which is quite disappointing, because there’s obviously none at the bezel-less screen.

The rear camera and LED flash is now at the top middle unlike what we saw with the Wiko View Max. The LED flash is under the camera in a vertically shaped foundation. Turning over to the sides, it measures 8.7 mm in thickness and weighs 160g overall. In terms of coloring, it’s available in Black, Gold and Gray colors.

Display

A budget device with a bezel-less display, the Wiko View Go boasts of 75% screen to body ratio and 18:9 aspect ratio. It has super minimal bezels dishing out a Full View display and inmersive visuals. Lets focus on the screen now, shall we?

Sporting a smaller 5.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen than the View Max. The details on the screen should be standard, with just 720 x 1440 pixels in resolution and over 282 pixel per inch density. The screen has of a full lamination technology, while the 2.5D protects it all.

Hardware and Software

Living inside the Wiko View Go is the MediaTek MT6739W chipset with Quad-core processor clocking at 1.5 GHz, coupled with a 64-bit CPU architecture. In the graphics department, the PowerVR GE8100 graphics processor is totally in charge with a 28nm process technology.

For multitasking, a standard 2GB RAM and 16GB storage space is available on the Wiko View Go. The 2GB RAM has a memory speed of 677 MHz, while the 16GB storage is ready to house all your files. You can always upgrade the space further up to 128GB using a microSD card. The View Go smartphone runs on Android 8.0 out of the box.

Camera

There’s still the same 13MP rear camera on the View Go, the camera captures 4K resolution images as well. Record videos of 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second with the budget smartphone and take photos with 4160 x 3120 pixels in dimension as well. The camera comes with a LED flash to help bring out the best in photos taken in dark places. For selfies, there’s a 5MP selfie camera ready to do its job.

Battery

Giving life to the Wiko View Go is a 3000mAh removable Li-Po battery with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, it might take more than 3.2 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
