As you know, YouTube channels had to reach the 10-minute time limit before using the in-video advertising feature. However, with the announcement made today, it has been announced that the limit of YouTube in-video advertising has been reduced from 10 minutes to 8 minutes.
After the new arrangement, YouTube channels, which have the option to monetize, will now be able to place ads in 8 minutes long videos. At the same time, the article published by YouTube stated that these ads will be placed automatically on every video that is longer than 8 minutes for channels with monetization options enabled.
For the time being, it is not known exactly when the regulation will come into force. However, we see that this new regulation will be valid after July 2020, according to the statements of the YouTube supplement.
As you know, as we mentioned at the beginning of the news, YouTube previously could not place ads in videos longer than 10 minutes. Considering that this lower limit has been reduced to 8 minutes after the new arrangement, we can say that we can face more ads while watching videos on YouTube starting in July.
Of course, it is not compulsory to place advertisements on all channels’ videos that are 8 minutes long. In that part of the channel with the automatic ad features they want passive, reportedly, it is made.
