ASUS Zenfone Pegasus 5S Specs Review, Price and Where to buy

ASUS have just recently announced a new member to the “Pegasus series” of her Zenfone line of smartphone.  The smartphone, ASUS Zenfone Pegasus 5S is more of an upgrade to the Asus Pegasus 4A that was released earlier this year (July 2017) and speaking about upgrade, the Zenfone Pegasus 5S is a displays a total step up of ASUS’ smartphone production game compared to what we have seen on some predecessors.

DESIGN AND DISPLAY

Like the Pegasus 3, the Pegasus 5S also comes in an all metal body. The frontal real estate of the device is a lot less busy as the device comes with a large display that cover most of the front (about 75.80% screen-to-body hostel). The dual primary camera, fingerprint scanner, and LED flash.

On the front, there is a 2.5D curved glass scratch resistant screen. The High Definition (HD) capacitive touchscreen is sized at 5.7 inches and has a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and pixel density of 282 ppi.

PROCESSOR, OS AND STORAGE

The ASUS Zenfone Pegasus 5S uses a MediaTek MT6750 64 bit SoC and a 1.5 Ghz Octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor. The Random Access Memory (RAM) is pegged at 3GB whle the built-in storage capacity is 32 GB. There is a 4GB RAM version of the device that comes with a beefed up storage capacity (64GB). Both versions allow storage expansion up to 128 GB via interpolating a micro SD card into the SIM 2 slot.

The Zenfone Pegasus 5S is laced with the Android v7.0 Nougat operating system alongside ASUS’ native ZenUI.

CAMERA AND BATTERY

Regarding optics, the Zenfone Pegasus 5S comes with a total of three cameras; two lenses (16 MP and 8 MP) on the rear, a single 8 MP lens on the front. The primary cameras on the rear come are assisted by two LED flash light while the selfie camera doesn’t come with any.

The powerhouse of the ASUS Zenfone Pegasus 5S is a Litium Polymer battery with a capacity of 4,030 mAh. The device’s battery is non-removable and but supports the fast charging.
