Doogee X55 another iPhone X clone – Review, Full Specs and Price

Doogee X55 – Review

Doogee X55 looks like the highly priced iPhone X from Apple. Popular affordable smartphone company Doogee won’t stop until they get the exact iPhone X from Apple. Lots of smartphone makers have been trying really hard to create an iPhone X look alike. Although Doogee is responsible for creating almost half of the iPhone X clone.

This is the fourth smartphone from the company since November, trying to look like the iPhone X. They even installed the iPhone X multicolored wallpaper as well on the X55 that was released yesterday. The new device looks like the real deal, but is the performance a real deal too? Lets find out.

Design

Looks simple and beautiful, made from both plastic and metal to achieve this masterpiece. I have to say this is the closest they’ve gotten to the iPhone X, the details on the design is everything. Additionally, the dual rear camera is placed horizontally at the top left with the LED flash in between. Dishing out an iPhone X vibe when you are out and about with this beauty.

It measures 8.6 mm slim, which is a little too bulky, and weighs an astonishing 183g. Its quite heavy i must say even with a low battery capacity. The Doogee X55 supports dual nano sims and available in Black, Blue and Gold colors.

Display

So i think its safe to say its not really easy to make a totally bezel-less smartphone. All of the iPhone X clones i’ve seen, always fail in this aspect, unknowable aspect ratio perhaps? There are still bezels at the top and bottom corner, although there’s no physical home button in sight.

The 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen boasts of a resolution of 640×1280 pixels. Which is very disappointing, the pixel per inch density is just 260. Nevertheless, that’s a screen of a midrange smartphone though, with just 73% screen to body ratio.

Hardware and Software

The MediaTek MT6580 chipset is totally in control here with Quad-core processor, reaching a speed of 1.3GHz. It has a 32-Bit cpu architecture and a ARM Mali-400 MP2 gpu clocking at 500MHz with 2-Cores. Furthermore, there’s just 1GB RAM space on the Doogee X55 with a memory speed of 533 MHz.

It comes with 16GB internal storage space for storing everything from files to games and apps. You can also upgrade up to 64GB by putting a memory card in the sim 2 slot if you need more space. Doogee X55 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat operating system with modified user interface of course.

Camera

The dual rear 8MP + 8MP camera with LED flash can capture 3K resolution images. Meaning they could take photographs as high as 3264 x 2448 pixels in dimension. Both camera comes with f/1.8 aperture offering clarity and detailed photographs. There are also lots of camera features to choose from, like autofocus, continuous shooting, digital zoom, exposure compensation etc. The 5MP selfie camera on the X55 has no LED Flash support.

Battery

Doogee X55 is powered by a 2800mAh Non-removable Li-Ion battery with no fast battery charging feature.
