When you start playing Graveyard Keeper, you will be given some basic tools which will help get you started. There are known as Rusty tools and they are more than enough to help you get started when you start working.

Before you can do any of that, you will need to equip these tools into the correct slots. You might likely be stuck with your rusty tools until you get some upgrades which will then be used to replace them.
Equipping items in Graveyard Keeper is pretty easy. In the guide below, we will show you how to do just that.
How to Equip Items in Graveyard Keeper
First off, you need to open up the character screen or your inventory. You can easily do this by pressing the I key on your keyboard. You can also open the game menu by pressing the TAB key and then select Character at the top of the screen.
No items equipped
Now, you should see an interface just like the one above. In the middle of the window, you will see all of the items you have equipped. You can also see the bonuses they are providing to your character. As you can see from the image above, everything says “Not equipped.”
Equip by selecting items
You can equip an item by selecting it on the left side of your inventory. Simply click on the item and it will be equipped. You will see the slot fill up in the center. The effectiveness of the tool will also be displayed.
