How To Recover Deleted Emails in Gmail

I know the reason why you are here is to understand how to recover deleted emails from or Gmail account. But don’t worry anymore as I will be teaching you how you will be able to recover every deleted mail. Most times we even delete some emails by mistake. So very likely that that important email is in the trash somewhere. But, how do you regain these emails back? It might look easy — just go ahead into your email account’s “Trash”, and then click on restore to restore it to your Inbox.

Sometimes it’s that simple, but other times, it can be very hard. If you follow along with us below, we’ll teach you all of the methods to use to recover your deleted emails from Gmail. Let’s jump right in.

In Gmail

If you simply by mistake delete an email out of your Inbox, you can recover it easily by going to your gmail.com in your web browser, and log into your Google account making use of your Google login details.

Next, on your left navigation bar, click on the Trash category. Choose the email that you want to restore back to your inbox by checking the box to the left of the email, and then click the button that tells you to move to Inbox.

You can do a related operation in the Gmail application. Just click on the Trash category within the application — you may need to click and open the Hamburger menu that is located at the top first. Then, choose the email that you wish to restore back, and then press the Move To key.

How to recover permanently deleted emails

Now if you have tried the above option and it did not work out for you. Sometimes we go into the Trash and permanently delete all of the emails that are there. Other times, they’re deleted automatically after 30 days. That makes it very hard to recover the emails back, but even though they’re “permanently deleted”, they’re still recoverable with the below steps! You can pull those emails back from Google’s server, which is a very big lifesaver for those vital emails. On top of that, it’s not too complicated either — anyone can actually do this on their own!

Here are the simple steps to do so:

  1. First Log into your Google account.
  2. Then, you’ll go to Google’s Missing Emails page. By click there
  3. At this point, you will be required to fill out the contact form with your information, and then confirm that the email account that you’re trying to regain back emails from is the actual one. You’ll have to:
    1. First, confirm your email.
    2. Put the date you realized that they are missing.
    3. Then put down any information that will assist the Google Support team to be able to recover those emails.
    4. Submit.

Google Support can be very timely, but the next step is for you to just chill and wait for a reply. This can actually take up to 30 minutes, or as long as 24 hours in some cases. You’ll either get an email from them telling you that they were able to recover them, or you’ll get an email telling you that they are “Unable To Recover” the emails.

That’s all. Goodluck.
