Recently, we looked into some tablets launched by Huawei – the Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 8 and MediaPad M3 Lite 10. These tablets had the blend of class, quality and wowing nature. The Huawei MediaPad T3 7.0 3G tablet arrives as an economy tablet. Its budget nature is expressed through its average screen size, screen resolution and some other features. Nonetheless, the tablet features something outstanding and that’s its OS. Let’s take a closer look at the MediaPad T3 7.0 3G tablet from Huawei.

DESIGN AND DISPLAY
MediaPad T3 7.0 3G has a simple design which features its front camera at the top bezel and the “HUAWEI” logo at the bottom bezel. The tablet’s dimensions are 18.76cm length x 10.37cm breadth x 0.86cm thickness. Having an aluminium alloy and plastic body material, the colours the tablet comes in are Gray and Gold.
The tablet’s display has a small 7.0 inches screen size. The display screen has a low screen resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels for clarifying texts and icons. Its display has a low pixel density of 171 ppi. The screen display has a display area of 71% screen –to-body ratio. The screen display type of the tablet is the IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The tablet has 16 million display colours as well as a contrast ratio of 800:1. And yes, the tablet’s display has the multi-touch capability.
CAMERA
The camera of the tablet isn’t on the good side at all. The front camera uses a 2MP lens for taking selfies as well as recording videos while the rear camera uses a 2MP lens for also carrying out the same functions. None of the two cameras uses a LED flash. Other features of the camera are – HDR, Panorama, face detection and touch focus.
PROCESSOR AND OS
The upside of these two segments is the OS. This is because the tablet uses the Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Accompanying the Nougat OS is the Huawei’s UI – Emotion 5.1 UI that’s a modification of the Android 7.0 Nougat. In the hardware segment, the tablet uses the Spreadtrum SC7731G as its chipset. Most would have expected the commonly used MediaTek chipset. Its CPU is a Quad core ARM Cortex-A7 processor that clocks at a really low speed of 1.3GHz. the CPU uses the 28nm process technology. The GPU that handles the graphics on the tablet is the ARM Mali-400 MP2. The GPU clocks at a speed of 400MHz.
STORAGE AND RAM
Due to the internal memory variance, the tablet is sub-divided into two – 8GB and 16GB. This takes care of the storage of files and documents on the tablet. This internal memory can also be expanded with the use of a micro SD card. The micro SD card slot on the device can support a micro SD card of 128GB capacity.
CONNECTIVITY
Unlike the Teclast Master T10 tablet that was previously reviewed, this tablet has cellular connectivity. It supports only one SIM card.
BATTERY
The battery used by the tablet is a non-removable 4,100mAh battery that lasts up to 8 hours on talk time. The battery type is the Lithium Polymer battery type.

Huawei MediaPad T3 7.0 3G was announced on 26 September 2017 and was released on 29 September 2017.
