Body design of the device is mainly plastic bar in shape. Dimensions are 145 x 73 x 9.75 mm. The Android smartphone comes in black and champagne colors. This is not a water resistant device, nor does it have fingerprint or face recognition feature.
Display type is IPS LCD capacitive touch screen of 16 million colors. Itel A23 comes in 5 inches screen size. Furthermore, it has no secondary display. Pixel resolution is put at 854 x 480, Pixel density is 196 ppi, and screen to body ratio is 65.3 percent. It has display protection feature of GFF full lamination.
Camera Features
At the camera department there is a single rear camera of 5 MP, 1.4-micron pixel size. This is the main camera and it comes with LED flash. The secondary front camera made for selfies is a meager 0.3 MP that also arrives with LED flash. Video performance is up to 720p@30fps of FHD recording.
Other camera features include geotagging auto focus, HDR, touch focus, face detection, and panorama.
Hardware and Software of itel A23
Android OS v8.1 Oreo Go Edition is the primary operating system in the device. Furthermore, it is supported by Spreadtrum SC9832E with process technology 28nm. Also, CPU 1.4 GHz Quad-core Cortex A7 does a good job with support from GPU Mali 400 MP2. These work on 32-bit architecture.
Storage Capacity and Sensors
Internal memory which cannot be expanded is 1GB. However, the internal storage of 8GB can be increased up to 32GB with the use of a microSD card. There is just one sensor in this device – accelerometer.
Network and Connectivity
At the network and connectivity center of itel A23, there is 2G, 3G, and 4G – this means that supported networks are GSM, HSPA, and LTE. There is a dual micro SIM card slot inbuilt in the device to make networks run properly.
Other connectivity components are as follows- Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, headphone jack, and micro USB 2.0. There is no infrared, NFC, or HDMI in the device.
Battery Life
Powering the device is a Li-Ion 2050 mAh removable battery, which has no wireless or fast charging technology. However, talk time is up to nine hours and standby time is up to 320 hours.
Price and Availability
As far as pricing is concerned, there is no clear official price for itel A23. However, there are indications that it costs anything from $30 to $50 USD. The mobile device is very much available on the smartphone market as it has been released in the month of November 2018.
