Louis Vuitton reveals smartwatch with Google’s WearOS that costs € 2500

Having a smartwatch on the wrist is no longer just for nerds. Although Google’s WearOS is not as evolved as Apple’s WatchOS, we have to admit that being “free” software makes it more appealing.

So, manufacturers like LG, TickWatch, Huawei or even Fossil look at this market more seriously. Apple Watch has proven that this is a growing market. Just need to show it’s a fashion product and no longer a wristwatch.

Certainly, that’s why Louis Vuitton also decided to go into business. His latest smartwatch is quality, but the price of € 2500 ($ 2,800) is not for any wallet.

Louis Vuitton looks at the smartwatch market with Google’s WearOS system

The Louis Vuitton smartwatch features a 1.2 “AMOLED screen, is constructed of aluminum and ceramic and has NFC. It also has 8GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM and a 300mAh battery that will give a day of use.

The most important of this watch is to have also the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor. A processor with an efficiency far superior to its predecessor. This smartwatch is just the third to hit the market with this chip.

The price, as I mentioned, is that it is not the best. Having a smartwatch of these will not be for any pocket. However, we have to bear in mind that here we are only paying the mark. You get a Fossil smartwatch with identical specifications for just over € 250. That is, the name “Louis Vuitton” has its weight.

It is very likely that Portugal will receive this brand new watch. However, it will not be easy for the “normal” Portuguese to have one of these on the wrist.
