Nokia 6 (2018) – Review
The Nokia 6 (2018) is an update to the Nokia 6 released by tech giant Nokia last year. The newer version houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset with an Octa-core processor. The processor on the new Nokia 6 (2018) clocks faster at 2.2 GHz. Offering a faster and better overall performance compared to last year’s version. I think Nokia is learning a thing or two from Samsung with new ‘2018’ year name.
Design
It will be very difficult to tear them apart, they look almost identical in everything. Sporting the same screen size and overall aluminum unibody. Although, the fingerprint sensor in now mounted at the back below the LED Flash. Surprisingly, the LED Flash is now a little too far from the rear camera. Nevertheless, they are still horizontally sitting at the top middle just like its predecessor.
Nokia 6 (2018) is now more bulkier than every even though the battery capacity didn’t increase. From measuring 7.9mm slim and weighing 169g last year, to measuring 8.2 mm slim and weighing 172g this year. The dual nano sim compatible device is available only in Black and Silver this time around.

Display
Only Nokia would remove a phone’s physical home button and not reduce much bezels. I mean, come on, this is 2018, why remove the navigation buttons on the bezel and still leave it there? Although, the Nokia 6 (2018) didn’t meet my expectations, but the screen is still sharp.
The 5.5-inch device boasts of IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Making sure all the details on the screen is crystal clear is the pixel per inch density which stands at 403. It boasts of 73.2% screen-to-body ratio which could have been higher, since the lower bezels were useless.
Hardware and Software
It houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 for a faster experience and an Octa-core processor. The 8 core processor speed is clocks at 2.2 GHz for swift App launching and overall performance. In charge of the graphics department is the Adreno 508 processing unit. For multitasking through your heavy apps the RAM size stands at 4GB.
For storing files and games, there are two different variants, the cheaper 32GB version and the expensive 64GB version. But of which are upgradeable up to 256GB using a memory card. The Nokia 6 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, but it is upgradeable to Android 8.0 Oreo.
Camera
No surprises here, the camera is the same with its predecessor. Boasting of a 16MP rear shooter with f/2.0 aperture lens for your photography skills. For selfies, there’s an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture lens and autofocus. Take your love for selfies to another level with this beast, it takes crystal clear selfies with beautify technology.
Battery
Nokia 6 (2018) is powered by a 3000mAh battery that is Non-removable. It also features the trending fast charging technology, and go from 0%-50% in just 30 minutes.
