It looks like Nothing’s next smartphone will be released around the world, including in the US. Nothing co-founder and CEO Carl Pei has made this a top priority for the company, sharing that the Nothing Phone 2 will arrive in the US in 2023.
As for when it will arrive, we’ll see it later this year, and the device will offer a more premium experience than its predecessor. So it’s likely to appear shortly after the summer, possibly alongside the new Pixels.
Pei further stated that the US market is Nothing’s first priority. Nothing has solid foundations, he says, having generated more revenue in 2022 and ten times more than in 2021.
The company has been careful when it comes to releases thus far, starting with its accessories like the Ear 1 earphones, analyzing interest, and then progressing to something bigger like its Phone 1.
The Chinese company can go ahead with important investments, increasingly becoming a global brand rather than localized only in some areas. However, this will mean offering a more complete product from every point of view.
Most smartphones have become boring and the design has remained the same, and although the Nothing Phone 1 was not the most powerful phone on the market last year, it was the most interesting in terms of design.
The small company has released its transparent chassis, a sign of the brand, which also debuted on the smartphone, adding a touch of style to its design with LEDs and unique animations that integrate perfectly with the software.
As for details about Phone 2, Pei has been fairly secretive, stating only that the company aims to produce a more premium product. Furthermore, as regards the software, this will be subject to a total revision with the Nothing OS, which will be the heart of the new device.
