It is strange to have the “PLUS” model of a phone be released before the primary model. Oppo has performed this feat and did not disappoint in their devices.
The Oppo F3 and F3 Plus have been tagged as “selfie experts” this is because they possess excellent dual front cameras (one with 16MP and the other with 8MP) this should enable wider angles in selfies.
The Oppo F3 plus beats the Oppo F3 in battery capacity, rear camera and has a bigger screen. The Oppo F3 has a non-removable 3200mAH battery, 5.5-inch 1080p display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection, a 13MP rear camera, 4GB of ram, 64GB of internal storage and a MediaTek Octa-core processor (1.5GHz). Meanwhile, the Oppo F3 plus has a non-removable 4000mAH battery, 6.0-inch 1080p display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection, a 16MP rear camera, 4GB of ram, 64GB of internal storage and a Snapdragon 653 processor.
The Oppo F3 comes in gold and rose gold variants while the Oppo F3 plus comes in pink and gold variants.
On the front of the phones, we have the wonderful screen with the selfie camera, speaker and sensors at the top and the fingerprint sensor at the bottom. The back of the phone is kept plain and simple with antenna bands at the top and bottom. The camera and flash are placed at the top left corner and the Oppo logo below. The volume buttons are kept at the left side while the power button is on the right. The phone has its speaker placed at the bottom of the phone with the microphone, the micro USB port in the middle and the 3.5mm headphone jack. The top of the phone is left bare.
Both of the phones runs on an Android 6.0 Marshmallow custom rom from Oppo.
Oppo has made an impressive effort in winning the selfie game. Though its a let down it comes with Android 6.0, hopes are up that they roll out updates for Android 7.0.
It’s an impressive phone and can get the job done, though it’s not on the affordable side.
