On the design, merely looking at both phones, I will gladly pick the Huawei Honor Play for personal reasons best known to me. Make no mistake, both phones are equipped with a premium Aluminium Alloy, in fact, the Umidigi Z2 Pro is also equipped with a glass on the front which will increase its durability.
The phone measures 153.4 mm x 74.4 mm x 8.3 mm which indicates how light it’s and even weighs 165 gram, while the Huawei Honor Play is thicker with dimensions of 74.3 mm x 157.9 mm x 7.5 mm and it weighs 176 gram. The Huawei Honor Play has a dual rear camera of 16 Megapixel f/2.2 + 2 Megapixel with Dual LED flash and a single front-facing camera of 16 Megapixels with f/2.0 Aperture, Face Recognition and 1080P video resolution. Don’t be deceived by the four sensors on the Umidigi Z2 Pro, the Huawei Honor Play will capture more beautiful photos with it’s brighter aperture and it will shoot higher video resolution than it’s rival. So, in the camera, the Huawei Honor Play wins.
Umidigi Z2 Pro VS Huawei Honor Play – Performance.
On the performance, the Umidigi Z2 Pro has a MediaTek Helio P60 SoC with an octa-core processor that clocked at 2.0 GHz coupled with 6GB of RAM. You will get a decent Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC on the Honor Play with an octa-core that clocked at 2.4GHz coupled with 6GB of RAM as well. Both phones have ARM Mali G72 GPU and you will get a huge 128GB of inbuilt memory on the Umidigi Z2 Pro while the Huawei Honor Play has 64GB. You can still expand the memory with micro SD card.
Under the hood, the Umidigi Z2 Pro has a nonremovable battery capacity of 3,550 mAh with Quick Charging and wireless charging technology, while the Huawei Honor Play has a 3,750 mAh battery with fast charging technology only. On the overall design, the Huawei Honor Play wins and it will hold power longer than it’s rival. The only place where the Umidigi Z2 Pro wins is on the inbuilt memory and the wireless charging technology it has.
