Vivo releases Android Pie update to NEX A

A few weeks ago, Vivo released an Android Pie update to its flagship device for 2018, the NEX S. Vivo has now made the update available to the Snapdragon 710 version of the phone – the Vivo NEX A.

The size of the update is quite large at 3.30GB. However, the update comes with some new features and also a new UI. Vivo’ Jovi AI Assistant also gets a couple of new features and the phone also gets a revamped Dark Mode.

Specs of the Vivo NEX S and the NEX A are very similar. The main differences between the phones are their processors and where their fingerprint sensors are located.

The NEX A features a 6.59-inch Super AMOLED 1080 x 2316 display. The phone has no notch and very thin bezels. It sports an 8MP slide-out selfie shooter which is located on the left side of the top frame.

The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 710 and it also comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of non-expandable storage. On the rear, the phone features a dual camera setup including a 12MP primary sensor and a 5MP depth sensor with a fingerprint sensor. The NEX A packs a 4000mAh battery which supports 22W fast-charging.
