Vivo is really taking pride in what they do best by announcing the Vivo X21 UD, a smartphone with under display fingerprint scanner. The Vivo X21 UD was announced alongside the Vivo X21 which has its own fingerprint scanner at the rear.

Design
There’s no big of a difference at the rear, well except for the missing fingerprint scanner. The Aluminum Alloy overall unibody still reflects light beautifully, and perfect to flaunt when out and about. The vertical dual rear camera is the only attractive feature at the rear here.
Under the dual shooter lies a dual-LED flash that’s ready for night shoots. Moving further, it measures the same 7.4 mm in thickness and weighs just 156.2g. Not only is it sleek, it’s very easy to operate with one hand as well. You can also get it in Aurora White, Ruby Red and Black colors only.
Display
The under display fingerprint technology on this screen, allows you to unlock the smartphone in 0.1s by placing your registered finger on the bottom corner. Vivo isn’t new with this top-notch display trend, the Vivo V9 sports the trending feature as well. But its obvious the notch on the Vivo X21 UD is as minimal as possible, housing just the selfie camera, speaker grille and ambient light sensor.
The screen on the X21 UD stretches up to 85.2% screen to body ratio, but not as impressive as the 91% screen to body ratio on the Vivo Apex. The Vivo X21 UD sports a 6.28-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ capacitive touchscreen. With an impressive resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and 402 pixel per inch density offering immersive visuals at will.
Hardware and Software
Houses the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chip with an Octa-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 8-cores of processor clocks at 2.2GHz and has a 14nm process technology for fast performance. The Qualcomm Adreno 512 graphics processor rules graphics.
Coming with a massive 6GB RAM space and runs at 1866MHz in terms of memory speed. There’s only one version here in terms of storage. To experience the under display feature, you need to get it with 128GB storage. Upgradeable up to 256GB and runs smoothly on Android 8.1 Oreo with Funtouch OS 4.0 skin on top.
Camera
The dual 12MP + 5MP camera at the rear of the Vivo X21 UD has f/1.8 and f/2.4 aperture respectively. The camera has 1.4 µm pixel size, dual-LED flash, depth of field, professional mode and other features. With this device you can capture photographs with 4000 x 3000 pixels in dimension. On the top-notch, the 12MP selfie camera reigns with f/2.0 aperture for the best selfies.
