Smartphones with 16MP selfie cameras are hot cake in India right now, and OEMs are competing to win the hearts of selfie-loving smartphone users in the country. After Xiaomi launched its Redmi Note 5A, Micromax came forward with the Canvas Infinity, and Meizu followed suit with the M6 Note, and now Vivo has launched the Vivo Y69, all with 16MP front cameras.
The Vivo Y69 is a mid-range selfie-focused smartphone with specs similar to its predecessor in the Vivo Y series, the Vivo Y66 that was launched early in the year.

Design & Display
The Vivo Y69 comes with a standard 5.5-inch display with an HD (1280 * 720) pixel resolution and 2.5D curved glass which is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone weighs around 162 grammes and is just 7.7 millimetres thick.
The smartphone uses a physical home button and has its charging port, audio jack, microphone and speaker grills all at the bottom of the phone.
Storage & Processor
Powering the Y69 is a MediaTek MT6750 processor with eight processing cores clocked at 1.5GHz and a Mali T680 GPU which takes care of graphics operations.
The phone comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB with an external microSD card.
Camera
The Vivo Y69 sports a 16MP camera which uses a Samsung S5K3P3ST sensor, has a f/2.0 aperture and brightens your selfie with a soft Moonlight flash at the front.
A 13MP camera with a Samsung S5K3L8 sensor and f/2.2 aperture is present at the rear with a LED flash to take care of main photography on the phone. It’s clear that the Y69 is a selfie-focused smartphone.
Battery & Connectivity
The Vivo Y69 packs a 3000mAh non-removable battery that can last the user for almost a day on heavy usage before needing a recharge.
Unlike its predecessor which uses hybrid slots for SIM and microSD cards, the phone comes with dedicated dual SIM slots and a separate slot for the microSD card used for expanding the internal storage. The phone supports 4G VoLTE.
Software & Hardware
Embedded into the physical home button below the display at the front is a fingerprint sensor which provides enhanced security features. The Vivo Y69 runs on version 3.2 of FunTouch OS which is based on version 7.0 (Nougat) of the Android OS.
