Xgody D26 3G Android Review, Camera, Price, Performance & Full Specs

The Xgody D26 is a smartphone that had been released in September 2018 and it comes with features peculiar to most Xgody smartphones. For example, it comes with minimal screen, without display protection, without face detection technology.

If these are some of the things you count as very essential in a modern smartphone, you know that the Xgody D26 is not your kind of device. It is also a 3G Android and that means the user is up for slower connections in a world which is gunning for 5G connectivity.

What about other aspects of Xgody D26? Let us check the salient ones out one by one. We will start with design and display features and end at the price specification.

Design and Display of Xgody D26

The body design material of this smartphone is plastic as usual. Dimensions are 150.5 x 72 x 8.6 mm but the weight is not specified. It comes in black, blue, red, and gold. However, this phone is not a water resistant device, it has no fingerprint sensor and no face recognition technology.

Display type is 5.5 inches screen size of IPS LCD capacitive touch screen, which comes without a secondary display. Further, it comes with 960 x 540 pixels of screen resolution. Pixel density is 201 ppi. This phone has no display protection in-built in it.

Camera Features

There is provision for a single primary camera of 5 MP at the rear. It comes with dual LED flash. Further, there is 2 MP (interpolated resolution 5 MP) camera at the front made for selfies. It comes without flash. Meanwhile, the video performance is 720p@30fps FHD recording option.

Camera features include geotagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, auto focus and HDR.

Hardware and Software Xgody D26

Android OS v8.1 Oreo is the operating system in the device. Surely, this operating system should be able to update to the latest Android 9 Pie as at when due. Coupled with this, MediaTek MT6580M chipset is found inside, but the CPU is 1.3 GHz Quad-core Cortex A7, while the GPU is Mali 400 MP2.

Storage Capacity and Sensors

A poor 1GB of RAM which cannot be expanded is found in the smartphone. Further, there is also a minimal 8GB internal storage in the device. However, the internal storage space can be increased externally to 64GB with a micro-SD card. Accelerometer, proximity, and light are the Sensors in the Xgody D26.

Network and Connectivity

Supported network in Xgody D26 are GSM and HSPA, and there is no LTE. That makes it a 3G device, which is able to utilize 2G and 3G at the same time. To that effect, there is provision for standard/micro dual SIM card slots.

Other connectivity components are Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi, infrared, mobile hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, headphone jack, and micro USB 2.0. However, there is no infrared, NFC and no HDMI in this device.

Battery Life

Battery power of this device is a Li-Ion 2200 mAh removable battery that does not have wireless charging and no fast charging technology. That means it will take quite longer to charge the device to a full 100 percent.

Price and Availability Xgody D26

As you can seen online, Xgody D26 price is $79.99 USD. We do not know if this is the best price online for now. Surely, this phone is very much available in the market because it has been released in month of September, 2018.
