Apple WWDC 2017 San Jose event highlights
Apple held its biggest event, the World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) for the year 2017 at San Jose some couple of days ago. The WWDC event for this year saw Apple unveil some new innovations both in the hardware and software departments of several of their devices.
Here today, we shall be highlighting each and every of such new innovations one after the other in subsequent paragraphs below.
iOS 11
First on is the iOS 11. The new Apple OS which will bring a whole new experience on iPhones and iPad devices. Some new features which will debut on the iOS 11 include borderless buttons, new animations, new and bolder fonts and revised Control Center. There is also a newly introduced ‘Files App’ for iOS accompanying the iOS 11 as earlier reported for easy access to files and proper organization of documents.
Watch OS 4
The Watch OS 3 was amazing. It is still amazing. It was the OS utilized on the Apple Watch Series 2 and the end product was beautiful. Now Apple has announced the Watch OS 4.
The Watch OS 4 features an improved Workout app, music app with new design and functions, and GymKit functions. The Watch OS 4 will come with new watch faces and Siri, that offer suggestions based on usage preferences, time and location.
MacBook, iMac and MacBook Pro
Faster processor (Kaby Lake) processor, faster Solid State Drive option, revised and improved Graphics Processing Unit among other new features will come with the MacBook, iMac and MacBook Pro announced at the WWDC 2017.
The MacBook Pro has an incredible memory of up to 128GB and 4 terabytes of storage.
iPad
Two large-sized iPads were also unveiled. A 12.9-inch and 10.5-inch sized iPads with exciting features; one of which includes a refresh rates of up to 120Hz.
MacOS High Sierra
Alongside the introduction of new MacBooks, Apple also announced new operating systems for their Macs. The OS is codenamed the “MacOS High Sierra” a.k.a MacOS 10.13. Some features of the High Sierra includes computer vision, speech recognition, and natural language processing.
HomePod
In an attempt to rival Amazon and Google who are currently dominating the smart speaker game, Apple unveiled the 7-inch tall Home Pod super speaker with seven beam-forming tweeters, Siri, upward-facing woofer, and the A8 chip (same chip used on the iPhone).
