After releasing devices like the Zenfone Max 3 which came with upgrades like the Max, Zoom and Laser, Asus is here again. The phone makers have unveiled another smartphone, and this one’s called Asus Zenfone 4 Max. This phone proves to be a worthy upgrade, and we are happy that Asus didn’t disappoint. Let us take a look at the specifications of this device. Please do note that this is just one of the six Asus Zenfone 4 Max phones to be released soon.


Measuring 154 x 76.9 x 8.9mm, the phone weighs 181g. You can always bet on Asus devices to look as good as you would expect. This one is nothing short of beautiful.

The Asus Zenfone 4 Max features a 5.5” 1080p screen. The display type is an IPS display. Display resolution is pegged at 1080 x 1920 pixels. Protecting the screen is a Gorilla Glass 2.5D. The makers claim that you can watch up to 22 hours of video on the screen. This should be a function of the battery though.

The device comes in two versions putting the processor in context. One is a Snapdragon 430 (octa-core) processor, and the other version comes with a Snapdragon 425 (quad-core) processor. It is built on an Android Operating system v7.0 Nougat.

For your storage of music, videos, files and documents, the Asus Zenfone 4 Max avails users with a 16 GB storage space. There are also variants with 32 GB and 64 GB storage. This space can be expanded to a 256 GB capacity with the use of a micro SD card. On its RAM, the device features a 2 GB RAM (There’s a 4 GB variant too). This would take care of the smooth running of the device.

As its powerhouse, the phone packs a 5,000mAh battery. The battery has the Power Master power saving mode feature. According to the makers, a 15-minute charge is enough for 3 hours of talk time. Charging the battery to 100% takes about 4 hours. Asides that, the battery will stay cool during charging. This is the greatest selling point of the device.

Evidently, the phone was made for heavy users, and they would surely not be disappointed.


The Asus Zenfone 4 Max launch price starts at RUB 13,900 ($235/€205) for the S425 quad-core model with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage. The price of the Asus Zenfone 4 Max in Nigeria ranges from N65,000 to N80,000.
