Blackview A10 joins the Blackview series of entry level devices with a budget nature. Smartphones in this line up such as Blackview A7Blackview A7 Pro and Blackview A9 Pro all have this same feature. Blackview A10 was announced and released in the month of October, so there’s no doubt about how available the smartphone is in stock. Join me as Blackview A10 budget smartphone is being reviewed.

Blackview A10’s aesthetic is more of the simplistic type. Its body material made of ceramic comes in only three colour options – Black, Gold and Silver. Its fingerprint scanner is mounted at the rear beneath the primary camera and the LED flash. The front camera appears at the top with the earpiece and ambient light sensor coming right beside it. The smartphone has a thickness of 8.8 mm.

Blackview A10 has a 5.0 inches display size to its name. The display screen is the IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with an HD display. The screen resolution handling the screen’s crispness is 1280 x 720 pixels. The pixel density of 294 ppi also performs this function. Its 2.5D Curved Glass screen makes the visuals more beautiful and delighting. Other features of its display include – multi-touch input (allowing up to about 5 fingers) and 16 million display colours.

Being classified in the budget region, the smartphone also uses a budget chipset – MediaTek MT6580. As this acts as the system-on-chip, an ARM Cortex-A7 hat clocks at 1.3GHz functions as the CPU. This 32-bit processor type makes use of the 28nm process technology. The ARM Mali-T400 MP2 rides herd on the graphics region. This GPU comes with two cores. The smartphone comes out of box pre-loaded with the Android v7.0 Nougat OS, therefore also having the split-screen functionality. The RAM that ensures fluid multi-tasking on the smartphone is 2GB. Files worth about 16GB can be stored on the smartphone’s ROM. The storage can be expanded to 32GB with the utilization of a micro SD card.

No 4G LTE network type is present on the smartphone. Only 2G and 3G network types are present for cellular connectivity. Micro USB v2.0, Bluetooth v4,0, GPS and WLAN act as other connectivity options on the smartphone.

The rear camera has a fine 8MP shooter for taking beautiful pictures. The rear camera has a LED flash for brightening effects. The front camera has a 5MP shooter for taking the selfies. No LED flash is made available in this area. Optical stabilization, autofocus, touch focus, HDR and panorama are some of the smartphone’s camera features.

A non-removable Lithium Ion 2,800 mAh battery is the heartbeat of the smartphone’s duration. Although the battery capacity is low, the OEM avoided the fast charging technology in the smartphone. The use of a power bank will be very modest. 1. A phone that doesn’t support 4G nowadays is almost unusable, add to that the ridiculously outdated version of Android, it’s extremely low processing power and its tendency to repeatedly crash just from using apps like Amazon Music, makes the A10 an extremely frustrating and highly regrettable purchase. If you want a good quality budget smartphone, buy a BluBoo, don’t waste your hard earned money on this.
