Energizer Power Max P600S with 4500mAh Battery – Review, Full Specs and Price

Energizer Power Max P600S – Review

The Energizer Power Max P600S was released last month focusing on battery capacity and longevity. The OEM really went all out on the battery, but is 4500mAh really impressive? We’ve seen phones with 10000mAh, just like the Oukitel K10000, so 4500mAh isn’t really a deal breaker. But the phone isn’t really about the battery, it comes with some amazing specs better than most midrange smartphones. Without further ado, meet the Power Max P600S from Energizer.

Looks like a low-range phone, you’ll have no clue how powerful it is on the inside. Sporting an overall metal body with unique lines to bring out its beauty. There’s no rear loudspeaker spotted anywhere at the back of the Power Max P600S. With the dual rear camera and dual-LED flash in a horizontal position at the top left for a more sleek feel.

The fingerprint scanner is also at the back but you have to look closely to spot it. Its quite bulky to the sides, measuring 9.8 mm in thickness and weighing 190g. This is probably because of the ‘large’ battery capacity on the Power Max P600S. It supports dual nano-sim and available in Black and Blue colors only.

Its bezel-less at least, with major reduction in bezels compared to its predecessor. Although there’s a little bezel at the bottom and top, the top houses the selfie camera and sensors. The bottom bezel at the other hand is just there, utterly useless with no usefulness.

Nonetheless, the 5.9-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is beautiful and stunning as well. Boasting of 2160 x 1080 pixels in resolution with 409 pixel per inch for immersive visuals. It has an 18:9 aspect ratio and reaching an overall 71.8% screen to body ratio.

Hardware and Software

The Mediatek Helio P25 MT6757CD chipset is fully in charge with Octa-core processor. The processor reaches a clock speed of 2.5GHz for a faster and smooth overall performance. It has a 64-bit CPU architecture and 16nm process technology, the ARM Mali-T880 MP2 graphics processor reaches a speed of 900MHz.

In terms of internal storage and RAM, the company Energizer built two versions. The standard one with 64GB internal storage and 4GB RAM for multitasking and a much cheaper variant. The affordable version or ‘Lite’ version comes with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage space. Energizer Power Max P600S runs smoothly on Android 7.0 Nougat OS with modified user interface.

Apart from the powerful battery, the dual rear shooters on this powerhouse is also one of the highlights. The 13MP + 5MP rear camera will work together to capture 4K resolution images. Photos taken with this smartphone boasts of 4160 x 3120 pixels in dimension. While the video resolution is 2160pixels @ 30 frames per second.

Features on the camera includes digital image stabilization, autofocus, touch focus, digital zoom, exposure compensation, optical stabilization, face detection and others. For selfies, there’s an 8MP selfie camera with no front LED flash in sight.

Energizer Power Max P600S houses a 4500mAh Non-removable Li-Ion battery, with fast battery charging feature. It shouldn’t take more than 2 hours to charge the device from 0% to 100% with fast charging.
