Google Files Go – A good application got even better!

After devoting itself to updating the design of all its applications, the Mountain View company has now brought numerous changes to the popular Google Files Go application. Of course the most notable is its name change, now known as “Files by Google“.

The company has spent the last few months working hard on implementing new features in its various applications, as well as profound changes in its design. It would only be a matter of time before Google Files Go came.

After being launched almost a year ago, this application was intended for smartphones running Android Go. This was a special version of Android, developed for smartphones with more modest specifications.

However, it turned out to be an extremely efficient file manager. So it has grown exponentially to the point where it is used by more than 30 million users per month.

Files Go will now be known as “Files by Google” and brings a new face

It is important to note that within these 30 million users you will find all types of smartphones, from low to high end. You will also find users in areas where the internet is very slow and others in areas where it is super fast.

For this reason, the Mountain View company decided to change the name of Google Files Go, as it quickly “moved away” from the entire application portfolio for the light version of Android.

But it was not just the name that changed. As we talked about recently, the application design has also been redesigned. In order to make its use even more practical and efficient. Design changes give even more prominence to the most important content.

Finally, you will no longer need to download an APK, since the all-new app is now available directly from the Play Store for free.
