Six months after the release of the Honor 6C smartphone, Huawei have finally unveiled a Pro version of the device in Russia. The Huawei Honor 6C Pro is supposed to be an upgrade to the Honor 6C but it doesn’t really come with much differences. See below.
DESIGN AND DISPLAY
The Huawei Honor 6C Pro comes with about the same size and dimension as its predecessor, the Honor 6C. There is only a difference in height due to the bigger screen size. Per appearance and design, the Honor 6C Pro is exactly the same as its predecessor – the differences are only detectable internally in the storage and software compartment.
The device comes with a 5.2 inch High Definition (HD) IPS LCD screen (only 0.2 inch bigger than the Honor 6C) and the same 720 x 1280 pixels display resolution. Like the Honor 6C, the Huawei Honor 6C Pro also lack a screen protection mechanism, be it Corning Gorilla Glass or any other type. Using an external glass screen protector would be wise as it would prevent the screen from shattering or breaking easily.

PROCESSOR, OS AND STORAGE
Differentiating the Huawei Honor 6C from the older Honor 6C is the upgrade of the operating system of the device to the Android v7.0 Nougat OS and the dumping of the Snapdragon System-on-Chip for a MediaTek MT6750 chipset.
Asides that, other things like the 1.4GHz Octa-core Cortex-A53 processor, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB built-in memory. The SIM 2 slot also remains swappable for the Micro SD card slot and it supports storage expansion of up to 128 GB.
CAMERA AND BATTERY
The 13 megapixels main or rear camera was maintained on the Huawei Honor 6C Pro while the secondary camera on the front was upgraded to 8 megapixels from 5 megapixels on the Honor 6C.
Sadly, and quite unexpected is the decrease of the battery capacity from 3,020 mAh to 3,000 mAh. A 3,500 mAh battery would have made the Huawei Honor 6C Pro a perfect upgrade. Or what do you think?
