The LG K11 Alpha has been launched by the company as its latest lower mid-range offering for those on a budget. The tech giant also introduced the K Power 3 in Canada which focuses on battery.
The K11 Alpha is powered by an octa-core processor and packs 2GB RAM. The device also runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo, with 16GB storage space. Without further ado, lets meet the K11 Alpha.
Design
I think by now we all know exactly how LG makes these affordable smartphone. It looks exactly like other smartphones from the K series. It sports a plastic back cover that has dual antenna lines.
Of course the rear camera starts a vertical train at the top middle, with the LED flash coming underneath. There’s a rear fingerprint scanner present as well. It measures 8.68mm in thickness and weighs 162g, it’s available in Blue and
Gold colors.
Display
The K11 Alpha sports the same typically 16:9 screen on the other smartphones from the K series. It comes with a lot bezels which is really not impressive or trendy to say the least.
The 5.3-inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen boasts 720 x 1280 pixels in resolution and 277 pixel per inch density. The screen stretches up to 69.38% screen-to-body ratio with a 2.5D glass on top.
Hardware and Software
Running the race here is the MediaTek MT6750 which ships in with its 28nm process technology. There’s an octa-core processor here, divided into two clusters with a peak speed of 1.5GHz. While the ARM Mali-T860 MP2 comes with 2-cores and clocks at 520MHz.
It’s equipped with 2GB of RAM space available for multitasking, this reaches a memory speed of 667MHz. While in the storage department, there’s 16GB space available, but you can upgrade up to 256GB. The K11 Alpha runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
Camera
For photography, there’s a 8MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture for all your photography needs. The camera also has 1/3.06″ sensor size, 1.12 μm pixel size and a LED flash. While the 5MP selfie camera has 1/4″ sensor size and 1.12 μm pixel size.
Battery
Powering the LG K11 Alpha is a 3000mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
