LG V40 ThinQ – First Mainstream Smartphone to Feature 5 Camera Lenses

That is what LG smartphone fans are expecting in October 2018. If LG has never produced a smartphone worth being on the highest rack, here is something someone can give kudos to. The news of the incoming LG super-power is nothing new. LG is going to release LG V40 ThinQ in October at a dedicated event.

V40 ThinQ is the final release on the stable of LG for 2018. This device has an artificial intelligence in-built. It’s a thing also having to do with TVs and some air conditioners.

LG V40 ThinQ Release Date, Price

There not much information about when LG V40 ThinQ will hit the market but the news is that it will be out in September or later in October 2018. As to the exact day of release, we are not sure what day the device will hit the market. Most likely, the price of V40 will be around £800 to £1000, seeing the predecessors are selling for around £700 to £900.

The Most Marvelous Aspect of V40 – Cameras

According to speculations pouring in, LG V40, codenamed ‘Storm’ will arrive with five cameras in total, two at the front and three at the rear side. One thing sure is that if two cameras are on the rear, that would be perfectly normal, as LG is known for a standard lens and another ultra-wide lens.

What the third lens will do is still a bit sketchy. Maybe it will just be a zoom lens. People are waiting to get their hands on the details. If the smartphone does indeed arrive with five cameras, it will be the first of mainstream devices to hit the market and that will definitely be a plus for LG.

In addition to that, fans would love to have the LG V40 arrive with 20 to 40-megapixel primary camera just like Huawei P20 Pro (16 megapixel is the custom with LG) and that the two others will be 16-megapixel cams. That will be a big battle won by LG V40 ThinQ!

The front side arrangement is speculated to be capable of doing face unlocking and it’s also said that the device may go with 3D face mapping capabilities using both cams. No one is actually sure about this yet.

Screen Specs / Other Features

LG V40 is also to sport a notch screen. It should be somewhat larger, at least more than that of the LG G7. It is not clear yet if the display will be OLED or LCD. Over the years, the LCD design has been the mainstay of LG. At this time, however, the Snapdragon 845 chipset from Qualcomm may add more power to display performance for LG V40.

Other items surrounding the display will be LG’s dedicated Google Assistant button on the side of the device, near the volume button. The fingerprint sensor is definitely to the rear of the device.

LG V40 should be able to handle 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage which can be increased to 512GB of additional storage available through microSD card slot.

Also likely is the phone coming out as a waterproof device, with Android Oreo 8.1 enabled. As for connectivity, fans expect dual-band 802.11, Wi-Fi enabled, also Bluetooth available, with a 3.5mm headphone jack, and fast charging capabilities.

For the best, LG V40 should give a good screen to body ratio, combining that with an impressive panel. A full-screen display will not be a bad idea at all.
