Meiigoo Mate 10 is a Huawei Mate 10 Clone – Review, Full Specs and Price

Meiigoo Mate 10 – Review

Chinese smartphone maker Meiigoo are known for getting inspirations from other smartphone makers. This time around they created Huawei’s flagship device and named it the exact same name. We have to keep in mind that making clones of other smartphones is very popular and legal in China. The Meiigoo Mate 10 looks exactly like the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, but does it perform like the beast? Well lets find out.

Design

It looks more like the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, sporting a rear fingerprint scanner. We have to give it to Meiigoo though, the design was spot on and beautiful as well. Although the LEICA logo isn’t there because its been trademarked, but apart from that, you won’t have a clue.

Its covered in metal as well and available in Black, Brown and Blue colors. If you look closely you will notice it has much visible curved sides and edges. The back is also covered in glass, giving the device a sleek and stunning look. It will surely turn heads in a gathering no doubt and you will feel its worth by holding it.

Display

To be honest, its been a while i’ve seen a clone with such impressive screen. Of course its not as impressive the Huawei’s flagship, but the reduction in bezels is brilliant. The Meiigoo Mate 10 comes with dual selfie camera, which sits pretty at the top bezel with the front flash. The lower bezel is utterly useless and serves no purpose.

The 5.72-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen comes with curved sides which is beautiful. The screen boasts of 1440 x 720 pixels in resolution and 282 pixel per inch density. The mult-itouch screen is protected by a 3D Curved Glass Screen, offering dust and scratch resistance.

Hardware and Software

So it houses the MediaTek Helio P23 MTK6763 chipset instead of the Kirin 970 chip. Bummer? Nonetheless, it has an Octa-core processor reaching a speed of 2.0GHz, which is impressive for a clone. The ARM Mali-G71 MP2 is fully in charge of graphics, clocking at 700MHz with 2-Cores.

Surprisingly, it boasts of 6GB of RAM for fast multitasking and app launching. You can multitask through heavy apps and games on this ‘clone’. For storage, there’s a massive 128GB internal storage space, which should be more than enough to store everything. The Meiigoo Mate 10 runs smoothly on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with modified user interface.

Camera

A clone with 4 cameras, the Meiigoo Mate 10 is not your average clone though. The dual rear camera are brilliant, boasting of 16MP + 5MP rear shooters with f/2.2 aperture. Capture 4K resolution images with the Mate 10 thanks to lots of quality features. For selfies, there’s a 13MP + 5MP dual selfie camera with face recognition feature and front LED Flash.

Battery

Meiigoo Mate 10 houses a 3500mAh Li-Po battery that is Non-removable, it also boasts of the fast charging feature. You can charge the device from 0% to 100% in less than 2 hours. See full specs below.
