New BIOS Updates Announced for Gigabyte AM4 Motherboards

Gigabyte has announced the latest BIOS updates for all AM4 socket motherboards from AMD. With this update, full support for 3rd generation Ryzen XT desktop processors is provided. At the same time, solutions for SMM Callout Privilege Escalation security issues in the AMD APU are provided.

The latest software for AMD 500 and 400 series motherboards includes the AGESA Combo V2 1.0.0.2 and Combo V1 1.0.0.6 microcodes that are effective in the SMM vulnerability. According to Gigabyte’s timeline, beta software for the X570 and B550 motherboards are already downloadable from the website. The latest releases will arrive in mid-July.

Beta versions of other chipsets will be available in mid-July. Standard versions will be released in late July. In addition, it is recommended that those who use the following models switch to the specified versions before updating.

  • B550 AORUS Master– F4 version
  • B450M AORUS Elite– F3 version
  • B450M H– F2 version
  • A320M HD3– F2 version
