At a time when budget, mid-range and high-end smartphones are being released on a daily basis, Microsoft has surprised everyone by releasing a feature phone, the Nokia 216. The feature phone has launched in India some days ago, and will only go on sale starting from next month October.

Display & Design
The Nokia 216 comes with a 2.8-inch LCD with a pixel resolution of 320 * 240 (QVGA) like most feature phones released this year. It is 13.5 millimetres thick and weighs just 82.6 grammes. The body of the phone is made from polycarbonate.
Memory & Performance
The internal memory of the Nokia 216 is nothing to speak of, but it can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD.
Battery
The Nokia 216 comes with a 1,020mAh battery which gives you up to 18 hours of talk time and 456 hours of standby time.
Connectivity
The feature phone supports 2G network connectivity via a dual SIM slot. It comes with Bluetooth version 3.0 with Slam sharing, and a micro USB port allows you to recharge the battery on-the-go.
It also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio capabilities.
Camera
At the rear of the phone is a VGA camera with fixed focus and a LED flash. The same setup is present at the front of the device. The LED flash on the back can also be used as a torchlight.
Software and Hardware
The Nokia 216 runs on Series 30+ OS right from the box. It comes with Opera Mobile Store in which you can download apps and games, including free Gameloft games, download every month for a whole year.

Nokia 216 Price in Nigeria, Kenya and India
The Nokia 216 will be available from the 24th of October in India and will come in black, grey and blue colour variants. The Nokia 216 will cost Rs. 2,495 in India, N11,765 in Nigeria and KES 3,777.5 in Kenya.
