On the body, the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is built with metal while the Redmi S2 features an Aluminum body with dimensions of 6.33 in x 3.04 in x 0.32 in, which weighs 170 grams. The Mi A2 Lite, on the other hand, is a little bit thicker and heavier.

It has body dimensions of 71.68 mm x 149.33 mm x 8.75 mm, and it weighs 178 grams. The Mi A2 Lite is available in Black color only while the Xiaomi Redmi S2 is available in multiple colors and they are Gold, Black, Blue, Red, and Silver.

The display size of Xiaomi Redmi S2 is 5.99 inches HD+ IPS, LCD panel with 1440 x 720 Pixels screen resolution which is a little bit bigger than the 5.84 inches FHD+ screen on the Mi A2 Lite with 1080 x 2280 Pixels resolution.

These specifications will depend on how much you are willing to pay. On the battery capacity, the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite has 4000mAh which is above the 3080mAh on the Redmi S2 smartphones, and they both support fast charging technology.

Powering the Mi A2 Lite is an Android 8.1 Oreo which is the same with Redmi S2 that is powered by Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. For connectivity, they support 4G LTE network with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi HotSpot and micro USB cable. You will get OTG on the Mi A2 Lite.
