The Gionee M6 Lite stormed the market just recently as a successor to Gionee M6 and M6 Plus, the Chinese company’s flagship smartphones of the year 2016. It comes with a metallic back and a slim body. The Gionee M6 Lite comes with top-end features that will make you ask if this phone is actually a budget variant of the M6. It features an advanced encryption system; offering a three-way security system. The Gionee M6 Lite is a lighter version of the M6 that comes with downgraded specifications.

On the other hand, Innjoo Mobile has named the Innjoo 3 as the successor to Innjoo 2 which was the flagship smartphone for the year 2015. The Innjoo 3 sports some features that would definitely interest lovers of Innjoo 2. Some of these features include; an improved camera, a stronger processor and a fingerprint scanner among other things. It is surely a massive improvement on the Innjoo 2.

In this article, I pit the Gionee M6 Lite against Innjoo 3. I’m going to compare them according to their specifications (display, design, memory, battery, hardware, software, etc) and when I’m done, I’ll leave you to choose which one is best for you. Enjoy.

In terms of design, the Gionee M6 Lite smartphone is packed into a metallic body measuring 8.2mm, it has narrow bezels on either the side, the Gionee M6 Lite sports a familiar 5.5-Inch Full HD IPS, and a resolution of 1080 x 1920 (401 PPI) pixels to give a good picture quality while the Innjoo 3 also comes with a fully-laminated 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 * 1080 pixels) display with 5-points Touch (G+F+F) and IPS display panels, the same display as the Gionee M6 Lite.

Performance & Storage

The Gionee M6 Lite comes in a more powerful Octa-core MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10, with Mali-T860MP2 GPU and clocks at a speed of 1.8GHz to deliver a powerful performance. In contrast, The Innjoo 3 is powered by a lesser 1.5GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6750T with Mali T860 MP2 GPU. In terms of storage, again, both Gionee M6 Lite and Innjoo 3 offer 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable to 256GB through a slot for the micro SD.

The Gionee M6 Lite comes with an impressive 13MP f/2.0 aperture phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash rear camera to give a good picture quality and 8MP front camera, not bad for selfies while the Innjoo 3 boasts of an incredible 21MP camera with Autofocus and LED flash at the rear, which is bound to deliver a much more clearer photograph than the Gionee M6 Lite and at the front, it houses an 8MP selfie shooter.

Battery & Charging

As for power, the Gionee M6 Lite packs a more powerful non-removable Li-polymer 5000mAh battery to give you a long-lasting battery with a fast-charging feature while the Innjoo 3 packs a lesser 3000mAh Li-Polymer battery which can also give 2 hours of talk time on a 5-minute charge.

Connectivity

In terms of connectivity, both the Gionee M6 Lite and Innjoo 3 are dual-SIM smartphones and support Wi-Fi/2G/3G/4G/LTE. The devices come with a Bluetooth, USB type C port and a GPS. They also support a wide range of multimedia file formats.

Software & Hardware

The two phones basically offer the same in terms of operating system and a fingerprint sensor.  The Gionee M6 Lite runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has a fingerprint sensor that opens at a speed of 0.23 second. The Innjoo 3 also runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, it also features a fingerprint sensor which opens at a speed of 0.3-second.

In Nigeria, the Gionee M6 Lite sells for N82,740 while the price of Innjoo 3 is yet to be determined.

Conclusion – Gionee M6 Lite vs Innjoo 3

Honestly, as for me, this is almost like a tie, but then, the processor and battery capacity of the Gionee M6 Lite give it an edge over the Innjoo 3. If I have to choose at all, it will be the M6 Lite.
