One of the main attractions from the mobile handset is its full view display. However, the device arrives with other good features. The release of HomTom S17 comes after the company had released the S16 previously. Both of these smartphones are budget-friendly devices. Other smartphones recently unveiled by the company are HomTom HT70, HomTom H5, and HomTom H10.

Design and Display of HomTom S17
The predominant material on the body of this device is plastic. It is not water resistant. Yet, it has some form of protection. It comes in black and gold colors. In design, the HomTom S17 resembles the HomTom S16 somehow.

HomTom S17 comes with dual rear cameras of 13 MP plus 2 MP shooters good for images and videos. In fact, the video production comes at 720p@30fps of FHD recording. Features of the rear cameras are autofocus, continuous shooting, HDR, face detection, LED flash, digital zoom, exposure compensation, and more.
The secondary camera is the front (selfie) camera of 8 MP. It is a marvelous provision for the selfie camera to operate with front flash and f/2.2 aperture.
Hardware and Software
HomTom S17 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box. In addition, there’s MT6580 chipset from MediaTek which comes with 4-cores of processor. Whereas the processing technology is 28nm, the CPU is Quad-core 1.3 GHz. There’s 64-bit architecture and GPU Mali 400-MPU.
HomTom S17 Storage Capacity
Storage capacity in HomTom S17 is 2GB of RAM which cannot be expanded and there’s 16GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB with microSD card.
Network and Connectivity
Of all things network and connectivity, HomTom S17 is able to handle only 2G and 3G internet connection. There’s no provision for 4G LTE. There’s dual Nano SIM slots in HomTom S17. Other features are Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, hotspot, USB Type-C, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, HDMI, 3.5 mm audio jack, and more.
Battery Life
The backup in the HomTom S17 is Li-Po 3000 mAh non-removable battery. This comes without fast charging or wireless charging. Definitely, this is a good fit for the device since it doesn’t make use of 4G internet.
