Intex has launched another budget device, the Intex Aqua 5.5 VR Plus into the smartphone market. The Aqua 5.5 VR Plus is a successor to the Aqua 5.5 VR and comes with a free VR headset. The device sports decent specs quite similar to those that the original Aqua 5.5 VR offers, save for certain significant differences which are pointed out in this article.

Display & Design

The Intex Aqua 5.5 VR Plus sports a 5.5-inch IPS capacitative touchscreen which offers 1280720(HD) of pixels resolution. The device comes in a champagne colored metal unibody design with a texture finish to the back cover. It weighs 176g and measures 15377.5*10.3mm in dimensions for height, width and thickness respectively .

Storage & Processor

The smartphone’s Quad-Core MT6737V/W processor which runs at clock speed of 1.25GHz comes handy for multitasking and is coupled with Mali T720 GPU to handle its graphics. Aqua 5.5 VR Plus packs 2GB of RAM as against the 1GB of RAM its predecessor has and comes with an internal storage of 16GB which is expandable up to 64GB using a microSD.

Camera

The Aqua 5.5 VR Plus carries a slight plus over the Aqua 5.5 VR in this department. It sports an 8MP Autofocus camera with LED Flash on the rear while it comes with a 5MP selfie camera also with LED Flash.

Battery & Connectivity

The Intex Aqua 5.5 VR Plus packs a 2800mAh battery which can offer up to 250hours on standby and as much as 18hours on voice calls. Connectivity options include; Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, VoLTE. It comes with a free VR headset to translate you into the world of Virtual reality
