Nokia 2 – low-end phone with huge battery

Finally, Finnish Nokia with Chinese background has officially introduced the Nokia 2. The smartphone has a massive battery with a capacity of 4,100 mAh. Other gear is unfortunately very weak.

The Nokia 2 with a size of 143.5 x 71.3 x 9.3 mm and weighing about 120 grams has a 5-inch screen. It is an LTPS LCD, has a resolution of 720 x 1,280 px and is covered by Gorilla Glass 3, an aluminium alloy with waterproofing – IP52.

Behind the display is a 4-core 28nm 32-bit Snapdragon 212 processor, Adreno 304 graphics and just 1GB of RAM. On the Android 7.1.1 operating system (by the way, totally clean), it is quite a bit, and it can happen quietly that the apps will cut you down. Even the 8 GB internal space is not much. But Nokia 2 has a slot for a microSDXC card up to 128GB.

You’ll probably want to save more photos from it 8-megapixel camera that offers autofocus and LED flash. The webcam above the screen has a resolution of 5 Mpx and HD video. Autofocus would be looking for you mildly.

There is a Cat4 LTE modem, 150/50 Mbit/s, as well as Wi-Fi g / b / n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS / GLONASS and even FM radio. There will also be a dual-SIM model that will probably also have a separate microSD card slot. Of course, there is a 3.5mm audio port.

All this will feed up to 4,100 mAh battery for at least two days. The charging will be via the micro USB port. Nokia 2 will be sold in three colour combinations – Pewter / Black, Pewter / White and Copper / Black. Price and availability for our market are not yet known. The price should not exceed € 100.
