Access problems to Alice Mail

Are you having problems accessing Alice Mail? If you are trying to access your Alice box and receive an error message like this one above, then the answer is yes. If your username is correct (make sure you select the correct domain @ tin.it @ alice.it or @ tim.it), then the problem is that you have forgotten your Alice password. You may not worry, you can always carry out the procedure to reset Alice’s password. Let’s see how you can do it.

Recover the Alice Mail password

If you have forgotten your password, you can perform a simple Alice Mail password recovery procedure and restore normal access to your mailbox. Note, if you reset your password and replace it with a new one, you will need to replace it on all the devices you have configured to receive mail from the Alice box. The computer, smartphone or tablet, whatever device is configured with Alice Mail, must be configured with the new password. Just change the old password with the new one in the device or app settings.

To access the Alice Mail login screen click on this link and once loaded click on the link “recover username and password” to access the Alice Mail password recovery procedure. Now, in the left screen, enter your username (ie your email address without the part with the @), select under the correct domain, @ tin.it @ alice.it or @ tim.it and press the button ” password recovery”.

On the next screen, you need to do a little verification to confirm to the system that you are actually a person and not a bot (or robot) that is trying to reset your Alice password. For further information on this topic. Then enter the 5 characters in the box on the left in the box and press “Next”. On the next screen, press forward again. Now you should get an SMS, to the number you indicated as your mobile number when you created your Alice Mailbox. This SMS will contain a verification code that you will need to enter in the box next to the “Code”. Now press “Next” to continue with the procedure.

End of procedure

On the next screen, all you have to do is choose a new password and type it in the box next to the items “Your new password” and “Repeat password”. Now click on the “Next” button to confirm your new password. If all went well, a message will appear with the message ” Your mail password has been correctly modified ” confirming the correct password reset.

Username recovery

If you need to recover your username instead, the procedure is similar. You will only have to select, in the main screen, “Recover username” instead of “Recover password” confirm with the 5-digit code and your TIM mobile or landline number. Then following the on-screen instructions you can retrieve your username.

Request for new password generation

If the procedure described above has not helped you to solve your problem of access to Alice Mail, don’t worry you can still solve the problem. You can request TIM to renew your password by filling out a special form. Click on this link to download the form to forward to TIM to request the regeneration of your password.

Once you have downloaded and filled out the form, all you have to do is send it by fax to TIM at 800 000 187 or send it as an attachment via e-mail to the exchange address box [email protected].

Alice Mail POP / SMTP parameters

If you have problems receiving Alice Mail mail on your mail client, the cause could be incorrect configuration parameters. Make sure that the problem is not a wrong or forgotten password by accessing Alice’s webmail and possibly following the password recovery procedure indicated above.

Other tips

If you have followed the procedures indicated above related to your specific problem and you still have reception problems you can contact the provider that provides you the ADSL service and request a verification. Your mailbox may have been put on a blacklist for some reason. In this case, you can request the unblocking of your mailbox and resume normal receipt and sending of your mail.

If you notice that your mailbox is regularly blacklisted, your computer may be infected with a virus. In this case, I advise you to follow the instructions contained in my article Eliminate virus from PC for free – Complete guide. Another thing you can do if you don’t solve your problems with these procedures is to contact TIM at 187 or use one of their online channels for assistance.

I hope this article helped you solve your problem, if so leave a comment below.
