List of all smartphones that will get Android P update

Google has been working hard on the new Android operating system and the Android P beta has already been available for a while on various smartphones. Not too long, it will finally be ready and we will get the final version of the Android update. As usual, unfortunately, not all devices will receive the update, but fortunately, a lot of them will. These are the smartphones of which so far they are known to receive the Android P update. More devices may be added to the list soon.

Google first

Of course, Google’s own Pixel devices will be among the very first smartphones that get Android P. It is expected that the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL all get the update. Naturally, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will also be equipped with the new operating system when they are finally launched. We will have to wait for that, although a 3D render has already been published online. Unfortunately, it seems that Google Nexus smartphones will fish next to the net and the Pixel C does not seem to get the update.

Beta devices

In early May, Google revealed that the Android P beta was available to test on different devices. Surprisingly, there were also devices in between that do not normally run stock Android. Of course, these devices will eventually also get the real version of the operating system. We have the Pixel and Pixel 2 devices on the Essential Phone, Nokia 7 plus, Oppo R15 Pro, Sony Xperia XZ2, Vivo X21UD, Vivo X21, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S and OnePlus 6.

In addition to the Sony Xperia XZ2, the Xperia XA2, XA2 Ultra, XZ Premium, XZ1, XZ1 Compact, XZ2 Compact and XZ2 Premium would also receive the Android P update from Sony. From HMD Global we can add the Nokia 1, Nokia 2, Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5, Nokia 5.1, Nokia 6, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 7, Nokia 8 and Nokia 8 Sirocco. In the Chinese camp, the OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 5 and Xiaomi Mi A1 can also expect Android P.

HTC, Asus, Moto, Huawei

HTC, Asus and Motorola Moto devices are also present. The owners of these devices can already look forward to the new Android P features – the HTC U11, HTC U11 life, HTC U11 Plus, HTC U12 Plus, Asus Zenfone 4 Pro, Asus Zenfone 5 (2018), Asus Zenfone 5Z, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, Moto G6 Plus, Moto Z2 Force, Moto Z2 Play, Moto Z3 Play, Huawei P20, Huawei P20 Lite, Huawei P20 Pro, Huawei Mate 10, Huawei Mate 10 Pro and Huawei P Smart.

LG, Samsung, BlackBerry

Finally, on the (preliminary) list we have devices from LG, Samsung, and BlackBerry – the LG G6, LG G7 ThinQ, LG V30 devices, Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung Galaxy S8 +, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Samsung Galaxy S9, Samsung Galaxy S9 + and BlackBerry KEY2.

Possible Android P update

There are also devices that may receive the Android P update, but of which it is not yet certain. These are the Sony Xperia XZ, Sony Xperia XZs, Sony Xperia L1, Sony Xperia L2, HTC U Ultra, Huawei Mate 9 (Pro), Huawei P1, Huawei P10 Plus, Moto X4, Samsung Galaxy A6, Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus, Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018), Samsung Galaxy J6 (2018), LG G5, LG Q7, LG V20, BlackBerry Motion and the BlackBerry KEYone.

For the time being, however, we will have to wait a little longer before it is ready. In the meantime, you can learn a little more about the new operating system. These are the six things you need to know about Android P.
